History of Georgia's Work Ethics Program page 5 of 5 1999 January-March: The faculty/staff members of East Central Tech, Southeastern Tech, and Valdosta Tech contine to work on the curriculum, evaluation, and marketing components of the Work Ethics Program. Work Ethics, Volume I was completed. March: Work Ethics video was produced. Spring and Summer: East Central Tech, Southeastern Tech, and Valdosta Tech piloted the Work Ethics Program. Instructor and student surveys were administered to determine the effectiveness of the program. June: PowerPoint presentation was developed. Work Ethics, Volume II was completed. October: Work Ethics Program was presented to Dr. Ken Breeden and the Presidents Council. The Presidents Council unanimously endorsed the program. 2000 The Work Ethics Program was presented to the State Board on January 6. It was enthusiastically received an unanimously endorsed as being a model program for the State. Institutes can prepare other similar programs and submit them to the Commissioner should they desire. Implementation of the work ethics program will be monitored through the State's PAS/PAR process. Four Work Ethics training sessions will be conducted in January to train-the- trainers for the other technical institutes in Georgia. The training will be conducted at South Georgia Tech, Heart of Georgia, North Metro Tech, and Gwinnett Tech.
